Allows law enforcement agencies to sell confiscated weapons at public auction under the Law Enforcement Disposition of Property Act when weapons are no longer needed for evidence and no legitimate claim is made for them.

Permits courts to order sale of firearms at public auction when respondents subject to domestic violence orders of protection cannot be located, fail to retrieve firearms, or are ineligible to possess firearms after the safekeeping period expires.

Authorizes sale of weapons that have been abandoned or illegally possessed at public auction under the Law Enforcement Disposition of Property Act, as an alternative to destruction or transfer to the Department of State Police.

Amends the Criminal Code, Code of Criminal Procedure, Illinois Domestic Violence Act, and Law Enforcement Disposition of Property Act to establish procedures for disposition of confiscated and abandoned weapons through public sale.
