IL SB1900

Amends the Illinois Diseased Animals Act to modify Section 2 regarding the Department's duty to investigate animal diseases and contamination within the state.

Removes requirements that the Department record all rules, amendments, and revocations in books, maintain indexing, keep records in the Department office, and provide printed pamphlets to the public at no cost.

Retains the Department's authority to make reasonable rules and regulations for administering the Act, subject to approval by the Advisory Board of Livestock Commissioners.

Takes effect upon becoming law.
