IL SB1902

Amends the State Fair Act to authorize the Department to establish locally held funds at each State fairground to receive and disburse security deposits for facility rentals during non-fair periods.

Maintains existing Department authority to promote public use of State Fairgrounds facilities during periods when they are not used for the annual State Fair.

Preserves Department authority to charge fees for facility use, negotiate contracts for activities, and establish contract criteria by rule.

Retains Department authority to arrange, organize, and hold events on State Fairgrounds and collect associated fees.

Takes effect July 1, 2017.
