IL SB1985

Defines "lead ammunition" as a projectile containing one or more percent lead by weight in the Wildlife Code.

Prohibits the use of lead ammunition to take wildlife in State parks or protected natural areas.

Removes language allowing lead shotgun pellets for migratory waterfowl hunting, requiring steel shot instead.

Removes provisions that authorized lead ammunition use at specific sites where lead poisoning in waterfowl had been documented.

Takes effect immediately upon becoming law.
