IL SB2019

Amends the Probation and Probation Officers Act by adding Section 15.2 to require all records relating to the obligation, receipt, and use of public funds for probation and court services be made available to the public for inspection and copying.

Authorizes the Illinois Supreme Court to establish rules governing procedures for public access to these records and to set appropriate fees for copies.

Requires any procedures and fees established by the Supreme Court to be no more restrictive than those in the Freedom of Information Act.

Takes effect immediately upon becoming law.
