IL SB2021

Increases daily jail credit for incarcerated defendants on bailable offenses from $5 to $30 per day against fines upon application, with credit not exceeding the fine amount.

Excludes persons incarcerated for sexual assault as defined in Section 5-9-1.7 of the Unified Code of Corrections from receiving the increased jail credit.

Adds exception to mandatory consecutive sentencing requirements under paragraphs (8) and (9) for violations of electronic home monitoring conditions under Section 5-8A-4.1, except upon the third or subsequent conviction when mandatory consecutive sentencing applies.
