IL SB2025

Requires the Department of Agriculture to make recorded brands available in electronic format instead of publishing them in book form with annual supplements.

Eliminates the requirement for the Department to provide free copies of brand books and supplements to county clerks and sheriffs, and removes the ability for the public to purchase printed copies.

Repeals the requirement for slaughtering establishments and livestock markets to maintain records of branded livestock for at least one year.

Repeals the requirement for the Department to develop a uniform procedure with law enforcement to alert livestock markets and slaughtering establishments of reported livestock thefts.

Takes effect immediately upon becoming law.
