SB2032 Summary

• Expands the Illinois Transparency and Accountability Portal (ITAP) to compile and update notices and digital public records from all school districts and units of local government without websites within 6 months of the bill's effective date.

• Allows school districts and units of local government to publish required notices, agendas, records, and other materials electronically on their websites or ITAP instead of in newspapers, notwithstanding requirements in the Open Meetings Act, Municipal Budget Law, Counties Code, Township Code, Municipal Code, Election Code, School Code, and other specified laws.

• Permits school districts and units of local government to satisfy microfilm or microfiche record storage requirements by maintaining public records in digital form instead.
