IL SB2039

Amends the Wildlife Code Section 2.26 to allow supplemental feeding of deer with items otherwise prohibited during off-season periods when deer hunting is not active.

The Department of Natural Resources must implement the supplemental feeding allowance through administrative rule.

Maintains existing prohibitions on baiting deer during active hunting seasons, with the bait restriction period extending 10 consecutive days after bait removal.

Does not change existing deer hunting permit requirements, fees, or regulations regarding legal hunting methods and seasons.
