IL SB2055

Amends the Firearm Concealed Carry Act to recognize valid Florida concealed carry licenses held by Illinois residents, permitting them to carry loaded or unloaded concealed firearms in Illinois in accordance with Florida's restrictions.

A valid Florida concealed carry license or an Illinois-issued license permits licensees to carry concealed firearms (fully or partially concealed) on their person and in vehicles.

Allows residents possessing valid Florida concealed carry licenses to carry firearms in Illinois subject to the same prohibited areas that apply to Illinois licensees, including schools, government buildings, courthouses, hospitals, and other designated locations.

Maintains existing requirements that licensees possess their license while carrying, with exceptions for carrying on personal property, lawful authorization under criminal code, or when firearms are unloaded and stored in cases.

Clarifies that private property owners may prohibit concealed firearms on their property with proper signage, and allows firearm storage in locked vehicles or containers in parking areas of prohibited locations.
