Removes the 126 square mile restriction on township size, allowing townships to consolidate regardless of area limitations.

Expands township consolidation eligibility to include all townships within coterminous or substantially coterminous municipalities, removing previous population and geographic restrictions.

Makes county board restructuring into a commission form of government optional rather than mandatory when township organization is discontinued.

Makes conforming amendments to the Property Tax Code and Counties Code to align with township consolidation changes.
