IL SB2232

Amends the Illinois Emergency Management Agency Act to allow the Governor to order mandatory emergency evacuation of long-term care facilities and supportive living facilities during declared disasters, in consultation with the Director of Public Health.

Expands the Governor's existing emergency powers to include suspension of regulatory statutes and managed care contracts when strict compliance would prevent or hinder necessary disaster response actions, including emergency purchases.

Requires long-term care facilities receiving mandatory evacuation orders to provide the Governor with a list of resources needed to safely implement the order.

Maintains the 30-day limit on emergency powers and preserves compensation and reimbursement rights for persons and entities affected by actions taken during the emergency period.
