Requires group and individual accident and health insurance policies, as well as managed care plans amended, delivered, issued, or renewed after the effective date to provide coverage for hippotherapy and therapeutic riding for individuals with disabilities.

Defines hippotherapy as physical, occupational, or speech therapy prescribed by a physician and delivered by a licensed therapist in conjunction with a professional horse handler and therapy horse.

Defines therapeutic riding as horseback riding lessons adapted for individuals with disabilities, delivered by a professional horse handler and therapy horse.

Makes conforming amendments to the State Employees Group Insurance Act of 1971, Counties Code, Illinois Municipal Code, School Code, and Health Maintenance Organization Act to require coverage for hippotherapy and therapeutic riding under Section 356z.29 of the Illinois Insurance Code.
