IL SB2343

Adds prohibition on possession, sale, or manufacture of bump stocks and trigger cranks beginning 90 days after the effective date of this act, making violations a Class 2 felony (or Class X felony if attached to a loaded weapon).

Defines "bump stock" as a device that increases weapon fire rate by using recoil energy to create reciprocating action that repeatedly activates the trigger.

Defines "trigger crank" as a device attached to a weapon that repeatedly activates the trigger through circular motion of a lever or similar part.

Establishes that possession of each bump stock or trigger crank constitutes a separate violation of unlawful use of weapons statutes.

Maintains existing sentencing enhancements for violations involving machine guns and firearm restrictions in schools, courthouses, public parks, and other protected locations.
