Illinois Elementary School Association must approve concussion training courses for coaches, game officials, and non-licensed healthcare professionals beginning with the 2018-2019 school year, requiring at least 2 hours of training covering evaluation, prevention, symptoms, risks, and long-term effects.

Amends the School Code (105 ILCS 5/22-80) to extend existing concussion management requirements to elementary school athletics through the Illinois Elementary School Association, mirroring requirements previously established for high school athletics.

Training courses must be completed at least once every 2 years by all coaches, game officials, and healthcare professionals serving on school concussion oversight teams.

The Illinois Elementary School Association shall maintain an updated list of authorized training providers and individuals qualified to deliver approved concussion training.
