Amends Section 5-5 of the Illinois Public Aid Code concerning medical services by making a technical change to remove duplicate language ("the" appears twice in the original text).

The bill clarifies existing medical assistance coverage provisions including services for inpatient/outpatient hospital care, physician services, dental services, prescription drugs, eyeglasses, physical therapy, and various other medical treatments.

Maintains coverage requirements for specialized services including tobacco cessation programs, reproductive health care, amino acid-based elemental formulas for eosinophilic disorders and short bowel syndrome, and mammography screening for women age 35 and older.

Preserves provisions for medication-assisted treatment for opioid and alcohol dependence, opioid antagonists for overdose treatment, kidney transplantation for noncitizens with end-stage renal disease, and pre-exposure prophylaxis services for HIV prevention.
