• Amends the Workers' Compensation Act to provide special provisions for volunteer, paid-on-call, or part-time firefighters, emergency medical technicians, and paramedics.

• If temporary total incapacity for work continues for 14 days or more from the date of accident, compensation shall commence on the day after the accident (rather than the standard 4th day).

• Effective immediately upon becoming law.
