No primary ballot shall be printed when a person without timely-filed nomination papers has filed written notice of intent to be a write-in candidate for an uncontested office.

Where no primary is held, prospective write-in candidates must re-file a declaration of intent to be a write-in candidate for the consolidated election with the appropriate election authority.

Write-in candidate declarations of intent must be filed no more than 106 days before and no later than 61 days prior to the primary or election, and must include the candidate's name, address, office sought, election date, and notarized signature.

Joint declarations of intent for President and Vice President or Governor and Lieutenant Governor must identify both candidates, and a vote for either candidate constitutes a valid write-in vote for the team.

Declarations of intent that lack required information shall not be accepted.
