Federally qualified health centers may reimburse dental hygienists employed by the center at the center's encounter rate for services provided to Medicaid recipients, when the hygienist works under general supervision of a dentist as defined in the Illinois Dental Practice Act.

Amends the Illinois Public Aid Code Section 5-5 to clarify dental services coverage and provider reimbursement methodologies under the medical assistance program.

The bill takes effect upon becoming law and does not establish new eligibility requirements or benefit restrictions for Medicaid recipients.
