IL SB2519

Amends the State Parks Act to authorize the Department of Natural Resources to sell up to 5 acres of Moraine View State Park in McLean County to Dawson Township.

Requires an agreement between the Department and Dawson Township to be reached within one year of the bill's effective date specifying the exact acreage and location of the property to be sold.

Dawson Township must pay the full market value for the property as determined by the average of 3 separate appraisals.

The sale cannot occur until the Department acquires adequate replacement property that satisfies federal requirements, with a 5-year deadline from the agreement date to obtain the replacement property.

Takes effect immediately upon becoming law.
