Amends the Illinois Human Rights Act by removing the exemption that excluded members of the immediate personal staffs of elected public officials from the definition of "employee."

Elected public officials themselves remain excluded from the Act's employee protections, but their staff members are now covered.

Staff members of elected officials can now file complaints for unlawful discrimination in employment under the Illinois Human Rights Act.

The amendment applies to the definition of "employee" in Section 2-101 of the Illinois Human Rights Act (775 ILCS 5/2-101).
