• Maintains existing criminal penalties for involuntary servitude (ranging from Class X to Class 4 felonies), involuntary sexual servitude of minors (Class 1 and Class X felonies), and trafficking in persons (Class 1 felony).

• Preserves mandatory restitution requirements that order victims receive the greater of either the defendant's gross income from the victim's labor or the value of labor under federal Fair Labor Standards Act and state Minimum Wage Law.

• Keeps sentencing enhancement provisions allowing courts to impose extended sentences based on victim bodily injury, duration of servitude (180 days to one year or more), and number of victims (particularly cases involving more than 10 victims).
