IL SB2600

Increases daily incarceration credit from $5 to $30 for persons incarcerated on bailable offenses who do not post bail and are convicted and fined.

Credit may be applied toward a fine upon defendant's application, but cannot exceed the total fine amount.

Excludes persons incarcerated for sexual assault as defined in Section 5-9-1.7 of the Unified Code of Corrections from receiving the increased credit.

Requires $30 deduction from monetary bail for each day a person subject to bail on a Category B offense remains incarcerated.
