SB2645 Summary

• Establishes continuing appropriations for five state revenue funds (State and Local Sales Tax Reform Fund, Motor Fuel Tax Fund, State Gaming Fund, Local Government Video Gaming Distributive Fund, and Statewide 9-1-1 Fund) to automatically distribute required amounts to local governments and entities when no enacted appropriation exists in a fiscal year.

• Removes "subject to appropriation" language from distributions to municipalities and counties from riverboat gaming admission taxes, enabling automatic monthly payments of $1 per person embarking on riverboats.

• Removes "subject to appropriation" language from distributions to home dock municipalities from riverboat gaming wagering taxes, enabling automatic monthly payments of 5% of adjusted gross receipts.

• Creates automatic continuing appropriations that discontinue only when the General Assembly enacts a specific appropriation on or after July 1 of any calendar year.

• Takes effect immediately upon becoming law.
