IL SB2675

Amends the Illinois Procurement Code to add Section 45-95 establishing preferences for HUBZone businesses in state contracts.

Defines "HUBZone business" as a business operating and employing people in Historically Underutilized Business Zones as designated by the federal HUBZone Empowerment Act.

Requires each chief procurement officer to establish rules for HUBZone small business concern eligibility and verify accuracy of information submitted by applicants for contracts.

Excludes construction procurements, construction-related services procurements, and selection of construction-related professional services from the HUBZone preference provisions.
