IL SB2689

Amends the Illinois Educational Labor Relations Act by making a technical change to Section 1 regarding the Act's purpose and policy.

Removes one instance of the word "the" in the opening language of Section 1, changing "It is the the public policy" to "It is the public policy."

Maintains all existing substantive provisions concerning educational employee rights to organize, employer bargaining obligations, and dispute resolution procedures.

Preserves language recognizing differences between educational and other public employees based on work calendar and duties.
