IL SB2701

Amends the Fiscal Note Act (25 ILCS 50/3) by making a technical change to language regarding votes on the necessity of fiscal notes.

Corrects duplicate language in Section 3 by removing one instance of the word "the" that appears twice in succession.

Maintains the existing provision that any member of either house may request a fiscal note if the bill sponsor believes one is unnecessary.

Preserves the requirement that disputes over fiscal note necessity be decided by majority vote of those present and voting in the relevant chamber.
