Amends Section 7-175.1 of the Illinois Pension Code to allow the Board to adopt rules providing for Internet balloting or phone balloting in addition to mail-in elections for employee and annuitant trustees.

Internet or phone ballots cast in accordance with Board-adopted rules are designated as valid ballots.

Maintains existing mail ballot procedures including ballot preparation with candidates in alphabetical order, sealed envelopes with voter certificates, and Board-set deadlines for ballot return and counting.

Takes effect January 1, 2019.
