IL SB3006

Creates new Section 24-2.1 prohibiting voting machines used, adopted, or purchased by election authorities from being made, manufactured, or assembled outside the United States or constructed with foreign-made parts, including hardware or software.

Amends Sections 24A-16, 24B-16, and 24C-16 to require the State Board of Elections to reject approval of any voting equipment or system that is made, manufactured, assembled, or constructed with parts made outside the United States, including hardware and software.

Applies the foreign manufacturing restriction to all three types of voting systems: standard voting machines, precinct tabulation optical scan technology systems, and direct recording electronic voting systems.
