IL SB3145

Amends the Public Funds Investment Act (30 ILCS 235/1) to make a technical change in the definitions section.

Clarifies the definition of "public funds" to include current operating funds, special funds, interest and sinking funds, and all funds belonging to or in custody of any public agency.

Defines "public agency" to include the State of Illinois, counties, townships, cities, towns, villages, school districts, fire protection districts, housing authorities, the Chicago Park District, and other political subdivisions of Illinois.

Excludes from the Act's application the Illinois Prepaid Tuition Trust Fund, private funds collected by the Illinois Conservation Foundation, and pension funds or retirement systems established under the Illinois Pension Code.

Defines "governmental unit" to have the same meaning as provided in the Local Government Debt Reform Act.
