Amends the Military Leave of Absence Act to make a technical change regarding state employee leave for active military service.

Full-time employees of the State of Illinois, local government units, public universities, and school districts who are members of U.S. Armed Forces reserves or Illinois State Militia reserves are granted leave for military service including basic training, advanced training, annual training, and other required military duty.

During annual training leave, employees continue receiving regular public employment compensation; during basic training and up to 60 days of special training, employees receive their public employment salary minus military base pay if military pay is lower.

State employees mobilized to active duty with the Illinois National Guard or U.S. Armed Forces reserves continue receiving state benefits and compensation minus their military active duty base pay.

Governmental units must calculate daily compensation rates by dividing regular compensation by work days in the pay period for public employment and by calendar days in the month for military activities.
