IL SB3263

Prohibits the Director of State Police from appointing auxiliary State policemen effective upon the enactment of this amendment to the 100th General Assembly.

Preserves the Line of Duty Compensation Act coverage for auxiliary State policemen appointed before this amendatory act upon their death in the line of duty.

Changes the Commission on Police Professionalism's administrative support provider from the Law Enforcement Training Standards Board to the Department of State Police.

Extends the repeal date of the Commission on Police Professionalism from December 31, 2018 to July 1, 2019, and requires the Commission to submit its findings and legislative recommendations by September 30, 2018.
