• Amends the Illinois Fire Protection Training Act to replace "certification" language with "approval" for fire training schools and programs overseen by the Office of the State Fire Marshal

• Defines "basic training" as entry level fire fighter programs and adds new definition for "advanced training" as advanced level fire fighter programs established by the Office

• Removes the May 30th deadline for reimbursement and changes the reimbursement period to cover costs incurred from January 1 through December 31 of the prior calendar year
