Appropriates $34,471,400 total for the Office of the State Fire Marshal for fiscal year 2019 ($33,471,400 from state funds and $1,000,000 from federal funds).

General office operations funded from Fire Prevention Fund ($22,565,200) and Underground Storage Tank Fund ($4,239,100) covering personnel, retirement, benefits, equipment, and operational expenses.

Allocates $3,751,700 for grants including $2,801,700 to the Chicago Fire Department Training Program and $950,000 to local governmental agencies participating in state training programs.

Provides specialized funding for fire prevention initiatives including $639,900 for a public safety shared services center, $65,000 for the Fire Explorer and Cadet School, and $300,000 for the Illinois Firefighters' Memorial maintenance and annual Fallen Firefighter Ceremony.

Act takes effect July 1, 2018, with appropriations available for costs incurred through June 30, 2019.
