Deletes language from the Consumer Fraud and Deceptive Business Practices Act that made retail sales of used vehicles by auction companies at public auctions subject to the implied warranty of merchantability provisions.

Removes the requirement that auction companies selling used vehicles at public auctions must comply with the 15-day/500-mile implied warranty of merchantability that applies to licensed vehicle dealers.

Adds an exemption for forfeited vehicles sold at auction by or on behalf of the Department of State Police from the implied warranty of merchantability requirements.

Takes effect immediately upon becoming law.
