• Allows public school students receiving high school diplomas to wear military uniforms at graduation ceremonies if they have completed basic training, are active members of a U.S. Armed Forces branch, and are in good standing with their branch.

• Requires school uniform and dress code policies to comply with the military uniform provision and include criteria to assist students from indigent families in meeting dress code requirements.

• Amends Section 10-22.25b to add military uniform compliance as a requirement (iii) for school board uniform and dress code policies.

• Adds new Section 22-28 establishing the right of qualifying military-service students to wear dress uniforms during high school graduation ceremonies.

• Applies the military uniform provision to all school boards, including special charter districts and districts under Article 34.
