• Amends the Illinois Human Rights Act Section 7-109.1 to expand the Department of Human Rights' authority to administratively close charges and allegations.

• Allows the Department to close an individual allegation contained within a charge pending before the Department, not just entire charges.

• Permits administrative closure when the issues underlying the charge or allegation are already being litigated in a State or federal court proceeding.

• Expands existing closure authority which previously only applied to entire charges to now also apply to specific allegations within a charge.
