IL SB3626

Amends the Public Utilities Act to establish a mandatory pattern of regional representation for Illinois Commerce Commission appointments made on or after the bill's effective date.

Requires the 5-member Commission to be appointed as follows: 2 members from counties outside Cook County and its 5 contiguous counties; 1 member from Cook County; 1 member from one of the 5 counties contiguous to Cook County; and 1 member selected at-large.

Mandates that the regional representation pattern be established by the third Monday of January 2023.

Takes effect immediately upon becoming law.
