SB3632 Summary

• Extends the deadline for active drycleaning facilities to maintain $500,000 environmental liability insurance from January 1, 2020 to January 1, 2030.

• Applies the extended deadline to facilities that have previously received or are currently receiving reimbursement for remedial action costs.

• Extends the repeal date for fee and tax provisions (Sections 60 and 65) of the Drycleaner Environmental Response Trust Fund Act from January 1, 2020 to January 1, 2030.

• Facility must maintain continuous financial assurance coverage until the earlier of January 1, 2030 or when the Council determines it qualifies as an inactive drycleaning facility.

• Takes effect immediately upon becoming law.
