Creates the School Discipline Reform Task Force to assess implementation of 2015 school discipline reform legislation (Senate Bill 100/Public Act 99-456) and address challenges related to exclusionary discipline and the "school-to-prison pipeline"

Senate President designates a member of the Illinois Senate as chairperson, who selects task force members to include representatives from the State Board of Education, students, parents, school administrators, teachers, education researchers, and advocates

Task Force solicits public feedback through public meetings and other methods, with no state expenses beyond gifts, grants, and donations

Requires submission of a strategic plan by July 31, 2018, and final report by January 1, 2019, to be posted on the State Board of Education website

Reports submitted to Senate President in electronic form only as directed by the Secretary of the Senate
