Illinois Senate mourns the death of Anthony Toussaint, who passed away on June 20, 2018.

Toussaint was born October 25, 1960 in London, England and earned degrees including a B.Sc. in Chemistry from the University of Leicester, M.Sc. in Surface Chemistry and Colloids from the University of Bristol, Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from University College London, and MBA from Northwestern University Kellogg School of Management.

Worked for multiple companies including Sherwin Williams, Sandoz Agro, DSM Desotech, and ICL Specialty Products; served as co-director of a summer jobs program at St. Sabina Employment Resource Center and was 2018 ACS Chair of the Chicago Section at the time of his death.

Served on the Board of Directors for The Bradley Cameron Association supporting young adults with disabilities and enjoyed mentoring young people, playing golf, and running the Chicago Marathon in 2009 and 2010.

Senate extends sincere condolences to his family, friends, and community; a copy of the resolution will be presented to his family.
