Robert James "Bob" Peterson of Moline passed away on July 1, 2018, at age 93, having been born July 2, 1924, to Oscar E. and Carrie Aff Peterson.

Peterson served in the United States Army during World War II and married Audrene Fenno on May 23, 1948 in Moline.

Worked as a custodian at the Opportunity Center for 15 years before retiring in 1986, and previously employed by Desaulniers, Moline Dispatch, and Streiter Corporation.

Active member of Trinity Lutheran Church serving on the church council, as property chairman, and as an usher.

Illinois Senate expresses condolences to his surviving family: children Dane and Diana; five grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
