Robert F. "Bob" Seegers of Crystal Lake passed away on July 5, 2018, at age 85.

Founded Seegers Grain in 1958 and Allendale, Inc. in 1984; served as director of the Illinois Grain Feed Dealers Association and committee person for the National Grain and Feed Association.

Served 43 years with the Crystal Lake Rural Fire Protection District and held leadership positions with First Colonial Bank, the MCC Foundation, and the University of Illinois Agricultural Board.

Active lifelong member of Immanuel Lutheran Church and founding member of the C.L. Snow Tigers Snowmobile Club; served in the U.S. Army from 1954 to 1956.

Survived by his wife of 64 years, Lillian; five children; twelve grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren; the Illinois Senate extends condolences to his family and friends.
