Ralph Charles Krippner of Moline passed away on June 24, 2018; he was born December 11, 1939, in Chicago to Edward and Beatrice Krippner.

Retired from the Rock Island Arsenal as a historian and was a lifelong Catholic who attended daily mass and served as a Eucharistic minister, lector, and funeral mass server.

Enjoyed reading, Bible studies, walking and hiking on trails in England and Spain, traveling across the U.S. in an RV, and was known for generous hospitality and pun humor.

Survived by his wife Mary of 56 years, five children, multiple grandchildren and great-grandchildren, his sister Vivien, sister-in-law Sheila, and extended family; preceded in death by his brother George.

Illinois Senate expresses sincere condolences to the Krippner family and directs presentation of a suitable copy of the resolution to the family.
