Illinois Senate mourns the death of Jackie Marie Dobbs of Antioch, who passed away on July 9, 2018.

Dobbs was born September 19, 1941 in Gadsden, Alabama; worked as a special education teacher and operated a daycare/preschool for over 20 years in North Chicago.

Served as District Coordinator for Meals on Wheels, Housing Chair for the NAACP, Church Trustee at Mt. Moriah Christian Center, and held leadership positions in the Links Incorporated and Lion's Club International.

Received numerous awards and letters of appreciation from the United States Army for community service initiatives during her husband's military career.

Senate extends sincere condolences to her surviving daughter Andreana, special sons Christopher and Dennis, and extended family and friends.
