Richard Burroughs "Dick" Swick of Coal Valley passed away on August 17, 2018, at age 82.

Served in the United States Air Force from 1955 to 1958 and worked as a union steelworker at Alcoa for 35 years before retiring in 1998.

Was a longtime member of Edgewood Baptist Church, avid golfer and sports fan, and devoted family man.

Survived by his wife Karen, three children, 11 grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, and his sister Joyce Anderson.

Illinois Senate expresses condolences to his family and directs a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the Swick family.
