Designates September 9, 2018 as Fenwick High School Day throughout Illinois to celebrate the school's 90th anniversary.

Fenwick High School was founded by the Dominican Friars and opened on September 9, 1929 with 200 students.

School maintains a 100% college matriculation rate and has been ranked as one of the top 60 private schools in the nation by the Department of Education.

In 2007, Sports Illustrated rated Fenwick as one of the 50 best high school athletic programs in the country.

Notable alumni include an Olympic Gold Medalist, Rhodes Scholars, Pulitzer Prize winners, an astronaut, a Heisman Trophy winner, and CEOs of national and international corporations.
