Stephen M. Berg of Rock Island passed away on September 19, 2018, and the Illinois Senate expresses condolences to his family and loved ones.

Born December 18, 1949, in Milan to Norman R. and Betty J. Hall Berg; served in the U.S. Marine Corps and married Dorothy Boddie on April 21, 1991, in Las Vegas.

Worked as an electrician for 35 years at John Deere Harvester Works in East Moline and enjoyed helping those in need, traveling, camping, and watching the Chicago Bears and St. Louis Cardinals.

Survived by his wife Dorothy, five children (Amanda, Kristy, Stephanie, Stephen, and Shane), 11 grandchildren, his mother Betty J. Berg, and four siblings.

The Illinois Senate directs that a copy of this resolution be presented to Stephen Berg's family as an expression of sympathy.
