William Camden "Cam" Gass of Moline passed away on September 17, 2018; he was born December 11, 1933, in Hastings, Nebraska to Melvin Camden and Cecilia Wieland Gass.

Served in the U.S. Army and worked in the Engineering Standards department at Deere and Company for 30 years before retiring in 2001; was a member of the Engineering Graphics Committee for the International Standards Organization.

Enjoyed swimming a mile daily until age 79 and traveled to over 42 countries; was preceded in death by his sister Leila Hemmingsen and former wife Arlene.

Survived by sons William C. "Chip" Gass and David D. Gass; granddaughters Olivia Darby, Cece V. Gass, Katherine E. Gass, and Audrey C. Gass; and stepgrandson Austin O'Brien.

Illinois Senate expresses condolences to the family and directs presentation of a suitable copy of the resolution to Gass's family.
