The Illinois Senate mourns the death of Rosemary A. (Taul) Matifes of Godfrey, who passed away on August 10, 2018

Rosemary was born on October 31, 1932, to Theodore Francis and Gertrude (Baker) Taul; she graduated from Alton High School in 1950

She was married twice: to Gilbert Matifes (1953–1996) and William Robert Arterberry (2001–2002)

She is survived by three children (Connie, Tim, and Kenny), six grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, two siblings, and extended family and friends

The Senate extends sincere condolences to her family and directs that a copy of this resolution be presented to her family
